    ACT Weekly e-news: Jan. 4 - 8, 2016: New....Bank Of ACT

Hello ACT Parents! We are starting a new routine at the beginning of February with your student’s spending money. We are opening the BANK OF ACT ! Starting the first week of February, we will be asking your student to complete deposit and withdrawal slips, make notes in a transaction register, wait in the bank line, and use our new mock bank system. You can help support our efforts by sending in your $40.00 cash during the first week of each month. This helps us streamline our system as we can all be anticipating these funds during this time period. This means for February we will accept deposits from Mon-Thur, 1/30/17 thru 2/2/17. Please see the ACT Bank documents on Connect for more details of our new process. Let us know if you have any questions. Carolyn & Dylan

Weekly Updates Blog: Weekly News September 12

Hello ACT Families, We have finished our first couple weeks of school and now we are starting to hit the ground running. This coming week September 12-15 we are starting up most of our internships. Wendy will be in touch with specifics on those details, however I want to remind parents and students that we do have a bit of a dress code (business casual of sorts). Slacks, polo shirts, leggings under dresses, black or dark grey sweat pants are okay. A couple of places provide a vest and badge for ID. This week your students will experience a variety of places to work and a variety of tasks. If you have any questions let myself, Carolyn or Wendy know regarding internships. I also want to start getting our students out to make a purchase, working on the money exchange process, ordering and asking for help in grocery/food atmospheres. With that said, Thursday September 15 th our program will have a sack lunch picnic out at a park(Marymoor), then small groups will venture out to different...
