*Check out another new document uploaded to "Parent Handouts" called "How Your Child's Reading Level is Determined." This might be a useful tool to help you better understand where your student is at.
*I uploaded a copy of the "Parent Reference Guide" for the kindergarten report card. You can use this to help better explain each of the standards for all the content areas and the expectations for student work. I will send a hard copy home with student progress reports next week.
You will find a digital copy under "Parent Handouts" to the right:)
Thank you for all your support! I look forwrard to talking about your child's successes thus far at conferences!

Writing: writing small moments
Math: tricky teens and calendar (number sequencing)
Recognizing and writing numbers in various ways, probelm solving using the drawing strategy, and ten frames. We are working for a long time on number sense. The purpose is to have the students know numbers 0-20 inside, outside, upside down:) I want them to be able to represent each number in a variety of ways, identify it in various settings, manipulate groups of numbers, ect. Having this solid foundation will help us immensely when we move into operations!

Please remember to have students wear tennis shoes girls wear shorts underneath skirts/dresses on P.E. days.
