We will be having a Valentine's Day celebration at the end of the day on February 12th. Students are allowed to bring Valentine's for every class member. Thank you to Mrs. Mount for attaching a class list to her email! I will send another list home with students attached to the February newsletter this week!
Focus this week February 1st-5th:
Phonics: word families with short o
Comprehension: story elements (Monday-Wednesday), Thursday and Friday we begin a new unit about "wondering"
Writing: Continuing with "How To" Books
-checking the anchor chart to make sure we are including all components
Math: mathematical "arguing". Students this month will practice using the strategies they have learned and apply them in some open ended story problems. We will then practice how to "intellectually argue" and support our reasoning for using certain strategies.
Please remember to have students wear tennis shoes girls wear shorts underneath skirts/dresses on P.E. days.
Library books will be returned to the library early Friday morning.
