Phonics: Beginning Sounds, High Frequency Words, Color Words
Reading: Story Elements
This week we will be reading different versions of the "Gingerbread Man" to practice retelling, sequencing, and compare/contrast stories. We will be learning about identifying the story setting, characters, problem, and solution, as well as how to correctly "sum up" a story's beginning, middle, and end.
Writing: Narrative writing, implementing planning and beginning, middle, middle, middle, end of a story (yes, I used middle multiple times on purpose:)).
Math: addition, subtraction, and problem solving
IXL Component: any of the addition (section I) or subtraction (section J) problems.
Social Studies: Sharing our "Family" Books
Please remember to have students wear tennis shoes girls wear shorts underneath skirts/dresses on P.E. days.
Library books will be returned to the library early Friday morning.
