April 25th:  A letter went home in your childs folder today about book orders. A couple parents ordered online, so I wanted to extend the invite to all parents.  I am not sending the magazines home, but if you would like to place an order online, I will submit them on Wednesday, April 30th.  They will arrive a couple weeks later.  You can visit:                                                              They will ask you for our class code: JC696.

Please do not feel obligated- just wanted everyone to know it was available!  Have a great weekend!


Daily Homework:

  • Any unfinished work in your folder.
  • Count....everyday!  From 0-100.
  • Tell someone at home about your day...need some extra?  Write about your day!
  • Read a book to someone- remember to read using the pictures and words (write it down on your Eager Reader Paper:))
  • Show mom or dad any work or important papers that were sent home.
  • Play! 

Skills to Work on at Home for May:

  • Making connections between stories you are reading.
  • Writing complete sentences: including spaces, correct use of upper and lowercase letters, and ending punctuation.
  • Discussing plants, thier parts, and the functions of plant parts.
  • Math facts- o-5 for addition and subtraction

10:15-11:00- Writing (computer lab on Thursdays)

11:00-11:45- Lunch and recess

11:45-12:00- Read-A-Loud

12:00-12:15- Math Intro

12:15-12:45- Specialist

12:45-1:30- Math Continued

1:30-1:45- Snack/Sharing

1:45-2:45-Social Studies/Science/Health

2:45- Clean up/Pack up

2:55- Dismissal (Except on Wednesdays when we dismiss at 12:45)

  • Be sure to check your student's folder every day.  Important papers are sent this way.  At the beginning of every month a newsletter is sent home with your child as well as uploaded to the connect site.  Make sure you check it for important classroom news and school work updates.

  • Be sure to label lunchboxes, jackets, hats, and gloves before they come to school.  It is easier to find them if they have a name to identify with:)
