New Procedure for Volunteers
New this year, all volunteers must complete an online application. If you have students at different schools in Issaquah, you only need to fill this out once and will be asked to mark which schools you want to volunteer at. Newcastle 2017 Enrollment Fair and Information(FOR CHILDREN TURNING 5 by AUGUST 31st, 2017 ONLY)
School enrollment is a surprisingly complex and sometimes frustrating process. Much of the process is guided by law and district policy. Our Newcastle office team is here to help you navigate the process and successfully complete all the required paperwork!
On February 15th Newcastle will release enrollment packets and offer an Enrollment Fair to assist families in completing kindergarten enrollment packets.
If you are not attending the Enrollment Fair, packets will start being available at 2:00pm on February 15th (see limited hours below).
Enrollment packets may also be picked up and/or turned in at the school office at limited times to avoid peak office hours. Enrollment packets may be picked up or submitted from 8:00-8:30 or 11:00-3:00 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays and 2:00-3:00 on Wednesdays.
Family Night Workshop
Three opportunities to attend:
Parents/guardians are invited to the second annual workshop about PBSES (Positive Behavior and Social Emotional Support). You are invited to learn more about how to use PBSES at home. During this workshop, we will discuss engagement vs. compliance and building strategies that enhances engagement with your students. This workshop will focus on motivation, organization, positive relationships, and social and emotional learning strategies. The Student Support Coaches for the elementary and middle schools will host the sessions.
