MATH ON CALL A Mathematics Handbook (Great Source Education Group A Houghton Mifflin Company) An excellent math resource to have at home for both kids and parents. I ordered my copy through Barnes and Noble.
I try to be available Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings 7:20-7:35 and Wednesday mornings 9:45-10:00 to provide math help. Encourage your child to seek help during these times if additional help beyond class time is needed. It is helpful if they check with me about my availability because of possible conflicts with other morning meetings that occur throughout the school year.
Math help is also available online for our textbook Connected Math at www.phschool.com . There are web codes included throughout the student textbook that can be entered at the www.phschool.com site providing extra information and practice.
The website www.phschool.com/cmp2/ has parent guides, homework help, skills practice, interactive student activities, and other resources.
At the website www.pearsonsuccessnet.com you can find student textbooks and additional practice sheets. After opening this site use the code provided to get into the system. The letter (it's yellow) with the code should be behind the 'Resource Tab' in your child's binder. You will then create your own user name and password which will give you access to student textbooks and materials. (THIS SITE IS CURRENTLY BEING UPDATED. I'LL LET YOU KNOW WHEN IT IS AVAILABLE.)
Check with the Sammamish Public Library (#425-392-3130)... Free Math homework help can be available through the Study Zone volunteer tutoring program at the Sammamish Library across from Skyline High School.
Check for online help from tutors from 2pm-midnight 7 days a week through the King County Library System website. http://www.kcls.org/research/homework/tutoring.cfm
