Safety Notification November 27, 2019

Dear Liberty, Maywood, Briarwood, and Apollo Families,

We are writing to make you aware of an attempted luring incident reported to us today. A 14 year old female student reported walking home from school in the area of 162nd Ave SE and 137th Place in Renton when a delivery driver pulled alongside her and repeatedly asked for her phone number. The student did not respond to the driver, ran down a road that was not accessible by the vehicle, and told her father. The incident has been reported to the Renton Police Department (Case number 19-1333 Patrol Division) and the ISD Director of Safety and Security, Dave Montalvo.
