This Eddie’s White Wonder Pacific Dogwood tree was planted by Girl Scout Troop 44393 as part of their Bronze Award project. The name was chosen because of the troop’s hike to Big Doug, the oldest tree on GSWW property located at Camp Robbinswold, that inspired their tree project. The troop raised money, learned about native species of plants, and worked with Arborist, Chris Tolonen to select a tree that would enhance the beauty of the school. They are donating their remaining funds to One Tree Planted, an organization that plants trees globally. They will donate specifically to replanting trees in California following this summer’s wild fires.
