PARENT PLAY DAY TOMORROW, February 1st!Lets Play graphic

We are so excited to have Parent Play Day again tomorrow. Below are the guidelines. Please read carefully.

  • DO NOT park in fire lanes - this includes the lower loop and drop off zone. It is important that we don't block access to emergency vehicles in case of an emergency
  • You must park in a spot or on the street in an appropriate, legal place
  • Consider walking or carpooling. We do not have safe spots for every car

Checking in for Parent Play Day:

  • Guests coming for Parent Play Day will find the check-in table outside the main front doors. Please...
    • Sign in and put on a visitor badge
    • Walk around the right side of the school to the playground
    • When recess is over, walk around the outside of the school and back to the front to sign out
  • Thanks for keeping us all safe!

During Parent Play Day:

  • Children that do not go to school at Cascade Ridge cannot attend Parent Play Day
  • Say your goodbyes when recess is over
  • If you have a scheduled volunteering appointment the same day and you have completed all the volunteer online paperwork, sign in at the front office as a volunteer before going to fulfill your commitment
  • Reminder: Parent Play Day is a recess event only - we sadly do not have room in the lunch room for parents to stay for lunch.

  • 11:20-11:45 1st and 3rd grade
  • 11:45-12:10 2nd and 4th grade, LRCII Primary
  • 12:10-12:35 Kinder and 5th Grade, Science Tech, LRCII Intermediate

Thank you!

The new Check-In/Check-Out procedure is now fully in place for all volunteers and visitors to the school. Thank you so much to all of you that have used it; we appreciate your co-operation!

The first time you visit school you will be asked to show your photo ID. We will scan your ID into our system and print a photo ID sticker for you to wear while you are on campus. You will only need to bring your photo ID one time. Once you are in the system, we will just need your name to print your ID. We do ask for continued patience, as this system does take longer per person than the old system.

IDs are scanned into our system, verified, and a photo ID sticker printed to wear while on site. Everyone will still sign in as well - and must sign out when they leave the building. This is very important, as it is how we account for people in the building during emergencies. The sticker can just be thrown away – it will be void at the end of the day.

ID stickers will need to be visible on volunteers and visitors at all times.  This is just one more step the Issaquah School District is taking to keep our students safe.

Our Cascade Ridge Elementary website is getting a whole new look! We will be switching to the new site on Monday, February 4. Please be patient with us as we continue to update the new site. We hope that finding the information you need will be easier and for a preview of the layout, you can check out any of the high schools sites.

under construction signOur campus is getting two new gates. One is on the north side of the building and one on the south. The north side gate (nearest the small playground) is already for us to use. The south side gate (nearest the bus loop) will be finished in the next few weeks. These gates will be locked during school hours. Coyote staff will lock the gates in the morning, after the bell rings, and will unlock them in the afternoon just before dismissal.

Please remember that anyone on campus during the school day needs to sign in at the office and get a photo ID badgeIf you are dropping your child off at their line, be sure to come out before the gates are locked and then enter the building through the front doors if you are staying to volunteer. We will unlock the south side gate for Parent Play Days. Thanks for your continued partnership in keeping our students safe.

Science Technology Magnet Program Information Meetings:
March 5, 14, 21

Families of current third graders:  Are you interested in enrolling your student in our Science Technology Magnet Program? The Issaquah School District offers three programs serving 4th and 5th grade students in unique multi-age classrooms. Each magnet serves 50+ students in a two-year program. Each program covers all standard 4/5 district adopted curriculum, with an added emphasis on science and technology. Grade specific math instruction is provided.

Families interested in enrolling their student in this program must attend a mandatory informational meeting—unless they have previously had a student enrolled in this program.  Informational meetings will be held at Cascade Ridge on Tuesday, March 5th, at Clark on Thursday, March 14th, and at Briarwood on Thursday, March 21st.  All meetings are scheduled for 6:00-7:00 pm.

Will your student be participating in the sports programs offered at middle school?  If so, mark your calendar and plan to get their sports physical during the summer.   Students entering 6th and 9th grade are required to have a physical dated after June 1.   A physical, dated in the summer, is valid for the entire school year.

If you normally schedule your child’s physical around their birthday, we suggest you consider postponing until summer.  Fifth grade students getting their physical while in the 5th grade will be required to get a second physical dated after June 1 if they want to participate in middle school sports.   For more information on middle school sports and the required physical form check out the ISD Middle School Sports webpage or call Beaver Lake Middle School office.  The office team will answer all your questions.
