      Hello Challenger Families,

May and June are busy months in the library!  Author  and KCLS visits, as well as gearing up for the return of Summer Library!  Please take a moment to check out the updates on my website and blog

Additionally, please note that all library books need to be returned to the library by Friday, June 7th, 2019!  As always, thank you for your support!

    ***Student Safety is our Priority***

We are utilizing a secure badge making process for all visitors.  Once you are buzzed in through the secure entry, all visitors and volunteers are required to check in at the office and will be asked to present ID.  Pam or Tanya will scan your Driver’s License and issue you a visitor badge.  All other procedures are the same, you will still sign in on the blue sheet, and continue to wear your Volunteer Badge. Below is a short video explaining these safety procedures.

School Supplies

It’s crazy how fast this school year has flown by. Summer is upon us and with that comes school supply shopping for next year! Let the PTA help you with that! We can take the work out of back to school shopping so you can enjoy more of your summer. We are partnering with School Toolbox again this year to sell prepackaged school supplies. The supply boxes contain all the supplies the teachers have requested. All you need do is place your order on the School Toolbox website and the supplies will be shipped right to your door. It doesn’t get much easier than that! A flyer went home in student mail at the beginning of June with all the details. You can also find all the information on the PTA website.

New Teacher Website Tool Survey

A leadership advisory team has formed to explore a replacement for Connect as the teacher website tool. As part of our selection process we would like to hear from parents about what they would like in a classroom web tool.

Our goals include finding a tool that:

  • Meets communication needs for teacher to student and families
  • Provides a consistent look and feel throughout the district
  • Integrates with other online tools such as Office365, Classlink, Skyward and online textbooks
  • Is accessible to persons with disabilities
  • Includes translation tools for a variety of languages

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey by clicking this link:
