Summer Opportunities in the Issaquah Area


Issaquah School District (ISD) Summer School is offered to at the high school and elementary levels. Elementary Summer School serves Kindergarten through fifth grade students. This opportunity reinforces skills and can give students a jump start on the next grade-level learning. Classes take place at a designated elementary school within the ISD. ISD Before and After School Care (BASC) offers summer camps for kids at the elementary and middle school levels. The elementary aged camp is called Club Connection. There are various locations with all camps taking place at Issaquah School District elementary schools. Any elementary student living within the ISD boundaries is welcome to enroll and must attend the site location designated for the school they will attend in the fall. The YMCA offers are huge variety of day camps, overnight camps, and leadership camps. Use their online search tool to find the right fit for what you’re looking for. The Sammamish Family YMCA is the closest geographically to Klahanie. Scholarships are available. Issaquah Parks and Recreation offers summer camps in various locations around Issaquah for ages 312. Scholarships are available. Klahanie Pool is open throughout the summer. The Klahanie Swim Team also competes throughout the summer and includes kids ages 5-18. There are tryouts to join this competitive, recreational swimming team. Youth Theatre Northwest also offers various theater and dance summer camps with various themes for kids ages 3 through camps geared towards grades 6+. Youth Theatre Northwest is located on Mercer

Tech Venture Kids offers STEM half-day and full-day summer camps that highlight interactive coding and hands-on projects for students ages 6-13. Camps take place in various locations throughout Issaquah, Kirkland, Redmond, and Newcastle. Scholarships are available. Sno-King Ice Arena in the Renton Highlands offers a couple of ice skating camps over the summer. Beginners through Intermediate ice skaters are welcome to join in on the fun! Wolf Camp and the Conservation College offers day camps at Lake Sammamish. These camps are geared towards ages 6-11 and have a new outdoor or wilderness skills theme each week!
