Week of 4/24-4/28
Reading: Our focus this week will be on writing about our reading to show our thinking and gain a deeper understanding of our books. We will be looking specifically at themes found in our books. Students will work in small groups on the same book to share ideas.
Writing: This week we will begin our memoir writing unit by looking at examples of memoirs and discussing what goes into a memoir. We will also begin brainstorming possible themes and stories to use in our memoirs.
Math: We will work on Module 5: Addition and Multiplication with Volume and Area.
Social Studies: This week we will finish looking at some of the 13 original colonies, and then preparing for our Colonial Boston unit.
Science: We will continue our plant experiments. Students will work in teams of four to observe their plants and compare results between controlled plants and experimental plants.
