News from the Principal

What a great start to the year. We have completed our first full week of school with kindergarten and it has been incredible. Our kids have done an outstanding job following expectations, getting back in the routine, having fun and learning lots. I am so excited for the year ahead with your children and you. We have 3 goal areas as a staff: Literacy, PBSES and Equity. We will continue to use our early release Wednesday’s on these 3 areas of focus, learning and growing as a staff as to how we can best support your children.

I feel so fortunate to be at Clark. The partnerships with families to best support students continue to grow and thrive. I am excited to announce a new program we are hoping to collaborate with you on. We will begin a program called CLARK READING COACHES. Would you like to have a meaningful impact on students who might be in your child’s class or in another class? As a Clark Reading Coach, you will commit to one hour a week and will be trained on specific strategies to use with the students. Please complete the attachment so you can be a coach and return to your child’s teacher by Monday, Sept. 23rd.

I look forward to seeing you at curriculum night on Wednesday September 25th. I will be in the commons between the 2 classroom sessions from 6:45-7:00 to share a bit about our goals for the year and answer any questions.

Looking forward to an amazing year.
