Children’s author, Simon Calcavecchia, will discuss the power of positivity & the Growth Mindset. His message promotes ideals of inclusion, which mirrors a key focus of the Issaquah School district. Join us for this inspirational night as we continue to build a school environment where all feel welcome and celebrated. The stories of Frank and Mustard are based on his personal experiences.

Family Science and Engineering Night will be held on Thursday, March 26, from 5:30 - 7:30pm in the MPR.

Mark your calendars for Friday, April 24th. Doors open at 5:30pm for the visual arts displays, show starts at 6pm. If your student is interested in participating, please sign up on the PTSA website starting on Wednesday, March 18th.
Students can sing, dance, do a skit, show their yo-yo, hula hoop, stilts, or pogo stick tricks, demonstrate martial arts, play an instrument (or two or three at the same time), quote a poem or read an original poem. Be creative and have fun. Acts need to be 2 minutes or less. Mandatory rehearsal, accompanied by a parent, is on Wednesday, April 22 after school. If you have a Creekside artist in your home, sign him or her up to submit art or writing for the visual arts section that will be on display before and during the show.

It is only February but we are already planning the Creekside Summer Celebration! Save the date for Friday June 5th from 5:30pm – 7:30pm. Our wonderful volunteers are already working on games and activities and lining up delicious food options, entertainment and more. If you want to volunteer to help that evening, if you have a middle school to high school age volunteer or just want to help out, please contact Jennifer Nakamura nakamura.jennifers@gmail.com or Hailey Chamberlain haileyc.pak@gmail.com.
We are also looking for balloon artists who are able to make animals, hats, etc. If you, a family member or friend, is interested in volunteering for this activity, please contact Jennifer.
A penny saved is a penny earned!! The next Bank Day will be on Friday, March 6th. Our Bank Day Chair, Nova, will be available on the 2nd floor library overlook anytime from 9:00am-10:00am for kids to make a deposit.
Get your children in the habit of saving money by participating in Creekside’s Bank Day. We have paired up with Washington Federal to create a Save at School program. As an incentive, the bank will give your kids $5.00 once their account is setup. For those of you with accounts already, please send your kiddos in with their deposits (limited to a max of $20 cash, no limit on checks) for a trip to the prize box!

The Box Tops contest collection is starting this week and it runs through Thursday, February 27th. This is the perfect time to turn in any unexpired Box Top labels you may have around the house. Impact Scholarship Applications due February 21, 2020
The Issaquah Schools Foundation offers scholarships to help juniors and seniors in the Issaquah School District continue their educational journeys. The Impact Scholarship will be awarded to students who submit essays that describe how Issaquah Schools Foundation-funded programs have enriched their education.
