Hello Creekside Families –
Our school year is almost coming to an end, and I feel so grateful to be part of our amazing community here at Creekside.
I want to give a special thanks to ALL of our volunteers that help us with our events throughout the year. Your help is truly appreciated.
A big thank you to our Art Docents that bring incredible projects and ideas for our kids to grow their creativity and abilities.
A big thank you to our Chairs that work tirelessly to make sure we have our incredible programs including Bank Days, Book Fair, Box Tops, Caring through Sharing, E-News, Hearing and Vision, ISF Ambassador, Kindergarten Meet & Greet, Legislative Rep, Library,
Lost and Found, Matching, Newsletter, Otter Wear, Picture Day, Popcorn Fridays, Social Media, Special Needs Rep, Staff Appreciation, Website and Yearbook.
A big thank you to our Event Chairs that make our events outstanding and fun including Hawk-a-Thon, Halloween Bash, Reflections, Destination Imagination, Cultural Fair, Family Science Night, Family Movie Night, Talent Show, Art Walk and the End of Year event.
A big thank you to our Club Chairs that run our clubs and help our children learn including Math, Geography and Chess Club.
Thank you to our lovely Principal, Staff and Teachers that support us and help us achieve our goal to bring families a positive and enriching school culture. All this couldn’t be done without your constant support and action, so THANK YOU!
And last but not least, a big thank you to our outstanding Board of Directors for providing the vision and leadership to make this all happen.
We are thrilled for the launch of this year’s new event: Creekside’s Lion King Kids! Thank you to Mrs. Quinn for bringing this opportunity to our kids and thank you to our amazing music teachers that have gone above and beyond to prepare our kids for the
show. To all our Lion King volunteers who have worked day and night to make this possible and to our cast and crew, these kids have shown great ability, perseverance and hard work to make this a reality!
And thank you to all of our Creekside families and our local community for your support, donations and encouragement. You all play an important part in making these programs and events possible at Creekside.
PTSA Open Positions 2019/2020
We need more parent volunteers to help fill open positions for next year!
If you are interested in any of these programs and want to see them return next year please contact Ghada Hamdi at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
Our incoming VP Volunteers (Colleen Mahon) is looking for a co-VP for next year. This position recruits and provides support for chairs to help them run their events or programs smoothly. Great role for someone who enjoys working with people and
a strong communicator.
Sponsorship Chair – NEW!
Looking for a volunteer who can reach out to local businesses to raise money during our main fundraiser of the year.
CLUB CHAIR VOLUNTEERS ALSO NEEDED!
Geography Club Chair
Geography is a fundamental discipline at all levels of education. Elementary students are naturally curious about the world around them. Our Geography Club seeks to build on this natural curiosity and excitement for learning new things. One or two
parent volunteers are needed to run this club.
Math Club Chair
Current 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to form teams for the Creekside Math Club. The Creekside Math Club will help prepare kids for the “Online Math Olympiad” and and at least one off site competition.
An invitation form our PBSES Coaches:
Parent Night – Second Step/ Social Emotional Learning
Please join us at one of the PBSES parent nights! Second Step is the curriculum that is being taught K-8 and this parent night will highlight ways that you can support your child’s emotional growth at home. We hope to see you there.

“Teachers affect eternity; no one can tell where their influence stops.”
We are so fortunate to have had Mrs. Cosey / Ms. Sam to teach our children! So many of us have listened to songs because “Mrs. Cosey loves it!” or read a book because “Mrs. Cosey thought I would like it.” As she begins the next stage in her own life, we
want to send her off in a way that reflects our gratitude for how she has helped our kids grow.
Please join families from Creekside to celebrate Mrs. Cosey at a pot-luck style “Open Park” event on Sunday, June 2nd.
Location: Ebright Creek Park, 1317 212th Ave SE, Sammamish, WA 98075
Date: Sunday, June 2nd
Time: 11am – 2pm (open house style)
