"I provided student supplies for my student - why are there classroom fees, and why can't I see them on Family Access?"
In addition to the items on the Student Supply list found on the school website and at local retailers during the “Back to School” events, there are very specific items and resources used in the classroom for continuity that are purchased by the school using bulk pricing. Purchase of these items is required. Scholarships are available for families in need. Items and resources include, but are not limited to:
· Planners – Grades 1-5
· Science To Go – All Grades
· Binders – Grades 2, 4 & Kindergarten
· Portfolios – Grades 2 & 4
· Recorders – Grade 4
· Camp – Grade 5
· Various Field Trips – All Grades
Fees are not available through Family Access - with the exception of during the Enrollment Verification Process (EVP) in August, where a link is provided to the pay online system (TouchBase) for fees assigned in August. Once EVP has closed, assess to TouchBase is only available via the school and district website (see the “pay online” icons below). Payment may also be made in the office with a debit/credit card or a check – NO CASH, please. Please look for the "Pay Online" symbol, or link on the Creekside website, or the ISD website, see picture above).
Questions regarding the items should be directed to your student’s teacher. If you experience issues accessing pay online or if you are need of a scholarship, please contact Andrea Garvey in the school office.
Thank you for checking your student’s account today for outstanding fees!
Creekside is once again very fortunate to welcome back Kate Poaster’s Science To Go program for all grade levels during the 2019-2020 school year. Kate and her team brings science labs to the classroom three times a year. The cost of the sessions are spread among the district, the PTSA and families – each paying for one session. The cost of the session is dependent upon the total number of students within the grade level – this year, ranging from $3.00 to $4.75. Unfortunately, we did not receive the contract prior in time to assign the family fees during EVP. Those fees have now been posted and we are asking that you access the pay online system at your very earliest convenience to pay the required fee. (Please remember that the pay online system is different from Family Access.) Thank you for your support of the exciting program!
As part of our Earthquake/Disaster Program, we are requiring parents/guardians to provide Personal Survival Kits for your student(s). In the event of a major earthquake or other disaster (severe storms), there could be the possibility that your student(s) would need to remain at school up to 72 hours. The school provides emergency trauma and first aid kits. Personal Survival kits will be returned at the end of the school year if not used. Some of these items may be used again, but others will need to be replaced annually. Please enclose the items below in the gallon Ziploc bag provided (no larger) with your child’s name, teacher and room number written on the outside. Return to school as soon as possible!
QUANTITY SUGGESTED ITEMS
Food Items (a variety of at least 10)
Things to consider:
- No CANS that could freeze and explode
- Only one kit per child
- No chocolate – it melts
- Think of things that will not explode or melt under cold or hot temperatures
- Fill the bag with things your child will eat - above items are only suggested items
Thanks again for your attention to this important part of our school’s emergency plan. If you have any questions regarding these preventative measures, please call the school at 425-837-5200.
