Family Movie Night

Creekside's Family Movie Night showing Abominable is THIS Friday! Bring a blanket and cozy up to join us for a night of family fun with a movie, pizza, popcorn, and candy. Please remember to bring cash for concessions and pizza is first come first serve. Doors open at 5:30pm and movie starts at 6pm. No RSVP necessary.

If you would like to donate a bag of individually wrapped candy for the movie night (nut free), please drop off by the PTSA basket in the office by end of day today. We also need volunteers to help make this event a success! Check out our volunteer sign-up to see what opportunities are available.

Represent Your Country at Creekside Around the World

The Creekside Around the World event will be held on Thursday, February 6 from 5:30pm-7:30pm. This is a PTSA sponsored event where families learn about our school’s diversity. Different countries are represented in booths that display information about their country that includes people, places, traditions, food, sports and culture.

If you would like to represent your country, you would be responsible for:

- Preparing the information that will be displayed (guidance will be available)

- Preparing your booth by decorating it and making it fun for families to see and learn.

- Bringing food or candy to share with families so that everyone could have a taste of the flavors of your country.

- Giving information to the attendees on the day of the event and teaching them about your country.

The 2020 Renewal Levy Continues Support For:

With voter approval of this renewal levy, we can ensure these programs continue benefitting our students for another 2 years. This is not a new tax.

Parent Wiser Events

Are your kids exposed to racially or culturally-charged comments? Parent Wiser hosts Dr. Caprice Hollins for a paradigm-shifting talk to help parents engage in courageous conversations with our children and learn How to be a Culturally Competent Family in 2020. Wednesday, January 22nd from 7-8:30pm at Liberty High School. Participants will increase their understanding of equity vs equality, privilege, and implicit bias to develop a community where everyone benefits through inclusivity and the honoring of differences. Kindergarten Information Night Tuesday, February 4th, 5:30-6:30

Do you have a child that will be 5 on or before August 31, 2020 and you live within the Creekside attendance area? If so, we invite you to join us for a parent only Kindergarten Information Night on Tuesday, February 4th from 5:30 - 6:30PM in the Creekside Multi-Purpose Room.

ELPA21 Assessment

The annual ELPA21 assessment is an online assessment given between February 3- March 27 to all students who qualify for English language development (ELD) services.The ELPA21 summative assessment measures students' English language proficiency in reading, listening, writing, and speaking. Results from this test determine which students are eligible to continue receiving ELD services.

Please contact your student’s ELL teacher with questions regarding specific dates for testing.

Open Enrollment Begins February 1

Per ISD Regulation 3131 regarding In-District Student Transfers, students and their parent(s)/guardian(s) may apply to transfer to any District school other than their neighborhood school during open enrollment through the month of February for the following school year. La Casita is the February Dining for Kids partner. Join us Wednesday, February 5th and La Casita will donate a portion of your bill to Issaquah Schools Foundation. These funds go to programs and resources for Issaquah School District students, including food & snack support during the school day. More info:

Impact Scholarship Applications due February 21, 2020

The Issaquah Schools Foundation offers scholarships to help juniors and seniors in the Issaquah School District continue their educational journeys. The Impact Scholarship will be awarded to students who submit essays that describe how Issaquah Schools Foundation-funded programs have enriched their education.
