This event, open to all ISD Elementary parents and guardians, will be held on Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Creekside Elementary, 20777 SE 16th St. Sammamish WA 98075. Matt's presentation is intended for parents and guardians only. Matt Glover is a nationally known literacy consultant and author who has been working with teachers in ISD for six years. He presents on topics related to nurturing writers and supporting children’s intellectual growth and development.

Cultural Fair Co-Chair
We need a co-chair for our cultural community event where families get together to learn about our school diversity scheduled for February 6, 2020.
Talent Show Co-Chair Enjoy planning events and working with students on showing off their talents on stage? We are looking for a co-chair to coordinate our annual Talent Show scheduled for April 24, 2020.
End of Year Party Co-Chair
We are looking for a co-chair who would be interested in planning our year end party for students and their families scheduled for June 5, 2020.
Chess Club Chair
Chess Club provides the opportunity for students to play chess with other students. Chess Club meets once a week after school.
Geography Club Chair
Geography is a fundamental discipline at all levels of education. Elementary students are naturally curious about the world around them. Geography Club seeks to build on this natural curiosity and excitement for learning new things. One or two parent volunteers needed to run this club.
Toastmasters Chair Provides students the opportunity to practice and improve their public speaking skills. One or two parent volunteers needed to run this club.
Are you ready? Our annual Hawk-a-Thon fundraiser kicks off THIS Friday, October 4th. We are looking forward to a fun filled week of meeting our goal of $150 per student raised and $100,000 overall to fund our programs for the year. All funds raised will go back to supporting our school. Creekside PTSA is sponsoring a new Kindness Club this year! The goal of this club is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to experience kindness at Creekside. 3rd-5th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in this club as Kindness Ambassadors. They will be trained to recognize other students being kind throughout the school day.
Students that are interested in being a Kindness Ambassador must complete the application that will be given through their teacher. Please have your child complete the application and send it back no later than Friday, October 4th.
Popcorn Fridays need parent volunteers to keep it going! Sign up to help with Popcorn Friday and include ‘new’ next to your name in the sign-up if this is your first time.
Reflections is a National PTA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity through positive recognition.
Creekside students are invited to create original works of art in response to this year’s theme, Look Within. Entries from all grades and all abilities are welcome.
Students may submit their completed works in the following 6 categories: Visual Art, Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Music Compositions and Literature. Whether you like to write poems, compose your own songs, make up dance routines, take cool photos, draw and paint or make your own short films, there is something for all students!

Please check out our lost and found. Jackets, sweatshirts, lunchboxes and more are piling up! Please have your child label all clothing and lunchboxes. The first charity donation of items will be collected and donated on November 1st.
Is your child normal? Meet and hear Jonathan Mooney on a speaking tour for his new book, Normal Sucks! With humor, knowledge and hope, Mooney speaks on neuro-diversity, how we should stop fixing people and start empowering them. He gives hope for anyone who learns differently, emphasizing the impact of supportive teaching and parenting. Tuesday, October 22 at 7pm at Skyline High School. Register here.

Your partnership with the Issaquah Schools Foundation benefits every student at every school in the district. Donating to the Foundation give students opportunities for academic enrichment as well as support for students who need help with basics like food and school supplies.
