November 6 – Issaquah Schools Foundation Dining for Kids at Chinoise Asian Grill
November 7 – ParentWiser Event: How to Keep Your Teen Safe
November 8 - Veterans Day Assembly 9:30 - 10:30
Thank you again to all of our Creekside family and friends for your support throughout our school’s Hawk-a-thon event! Thanks to each of you, we successfully made our goal and have funds to cover all of our operating expenses for the year and we'll have extra that can be allocated to things like an increase in grants for parents, teachers and staff, additional educational resources and events, and new additions to benefit the school as a whole. Please remember to follow up on your matching contribution if you have one. We are currently tracking and waiting for all of our matching funds to be turned in. If you have any questions or looking for assistance with matching, please contact our Treasurer at eleanor.robinson@live.com.
Are you wondering how you can make a difference with some of the funds raised? We would love to see more parents apply for our grants. Applications are due by December 2nd. If you have ideas on how we can support curriculum-based programs in the school, we would love to have you apply and make a difference!
Teachers and/or teaching teams, specialists, staff, parents, and students (with adult sponsor) can apply for a grant. It’s as easy as 1-2-3:
1. Complete the application by late November. Applications can be found in the PTSA box in the office or on our website at http://creeksideptsa.ourschoolpages.com. Click on PTSA and then FORMS.
2. Return the application to the PTSA mailbox (in the office) or email directly to the current PTSA President, Marissa Corona at marissa.creekside.ptsa@gmail.com, by Monday December 2, 2019.
3. Wait to be contacted with results. You will know if your project has been funded and approved by the PTSA mid-December. Instructions on how to use your grant money, if awarded, will be given to you then.
Each proposal will be rated in the following areas:
Supporting the school goals of raising the standard of learning.
Contribution to academic achievement/program excellence for significant number of students. Grade level/multi-level proposals are encouraged.
An on-going component, where funds will be used for materials or suppliers that can affect both current and future students.
The 2019-20 Digital Student Directory is now available to all PTSA members on our PTSA website. Just click on “Directory” in the menu of the left. If you aren’t yet a member, we invite you to…become a PTSA member! It's not too late to join the PTSA. Your membership supports our school and all of our students. You will also receive access to the directory. Join today!

Popcorn Friday Volunteer Opportunities
The clothing racks at school are already filling up and cluttering our hallway after last week's charity donation. To make things easier for our volunteers, please LABEL the inside tag of sweatshirts, t-shirts and jackets with the students last name. Please LABEL all water bottles and lunchboxes with a sharpie on the outside with the students last name. Please note that due to bacteria and mold reasons, these items are thrown away before charity donations.
Students will be notified via email (to their teacher) that they have an item in the lost and found and the students will be required to pick up those items on their own. No more classroom deliveries! Next charity donation will be Friday, December 6, following Parent-Teacher Conference. From then on, charity donations will be done on a monthly basis, last Friday of the month.
