Cultural Fair Chair
We need a chair for our cultural community event where families get together to learn about our school diversity scheduled for February 6, 2020.
Talent Show Chair Enjoy planning events and working with students on showing off their talents on stage? We are looking for a chair or co-chairs to coordinate our annual Talent Show scheduled for April 26, 2020.
End of Year Party
We are looking for a chair who would be interested in planning our year end party for students and their families scheduled for June 5, 2020.

Chess Club Chair
Chess Club provides the opportunity for students to play chess with other students. Chess Club meets once a week after school.
Geography Club Chair Geography is a fundamental discipline at all levels of education. Elementary students are naturally curious about the world around them. Our Geography Club seeks to build on this natural curiosity and excitement for learning new things. One or two parent volunteers are needed to run this club.
Math Club Chair Current 4th and 5th grade students have the opportunity to form teams for the Creekside Math Club. The Creekside Math Club will help prepare kids for the “Online Math Olympiad” and at least one off-site competition.
“Hawk-A-Thon, Hawk-A-Thon, Go Hawk-A-Thon!” We are getting closer to our kick-off of Creekside’s annual Hawk-A-Thon! Get your spirit wear ready and get ready for some spectacular prizes!

Creekside PTSA is sponsoring a new Kindness Club this year! The goal of this club is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to experience kindness at Creekside. 3rd-5th grade students will have the opportunity to participate in this club as Kindness Ambassadors. They will be trained to recognize other students being kind throughout the school day.
Students that are interested in being a Kindness Ambassador must complete the application that will be given through their teacher. Please have your child complete the application and send it back no later than Friday, October 4th.
Here is your opportunity to see the kids and bring some sunshine to their day! Sign up to help with Popcorn Friday and include ‘new’ next to your name in the sign-up if this is your first time.
Yearbooks can be purchased directly through the Entourage website (the company we use to compile and print the yearbooks). When purchasing your yearbook(s), please create an account (do not check out as a guest) so that you can track your order. Reflections is a National PTA/PTSA arts recognition program that helps students explore their own thoughts, feelings and ideas, develop artistic literacy, increase confidence and find a love for learning. The primary focus of Reflections is a celebration of creativity through positive recognition.
Creekside students are invited to create original works of art in response to this year’s theme, Look Within. Entries from all grades and all abilities are welcome!
Students may submit their completed works in the following 6 categories: Visual Art, Photography, Dance Choreography, Film Production, Music Compositions and Literature. Whether you like to write poems, compose your own songs, make up dance routines, take cool photos, draw and paint or make your own short films, there is something for all students!
Entry forms and category information sheets will be available starting this Thursday, September 12th on the Reflections board, located outside the office. Entries are to be submitted by Friday, October 25th to the entry box.

Is your child normal? Meet and hear Jonathan Mooney on a speaking tour for his new book, Normal Sucks! With humor, knowledge and hope, Mooney speaks on neuro-diversity, how we should stop fixing people and start empowering them. This event, open to all ISD Elementary parents and guardians, will be held on Thursday, October 3 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Creekside Elementary, 20777 SE 16th St. Sammamish WA 98075. Matt's presentation is intended for parents and guardians only. Matt Glover is a nationally known literacy consultant and author who has been working with teachers in ISD for six years. He presents on topics related to nurturing writers and supporting children’s intellectual growth and development.
