See you next week!

Hello Creekside Families ~

We are looking forward to seeing the return of our Otters!

Next Tuesday will be a perfect opportunity to "Meet & Greet" your child's new teachers and classmates, and to drop off school supplies. Please see our school supply list on our website for the items that will be required. Our PTSA is also offering school supplies through Some supplies are grade level specific and purchased by the school in bulk, with the school transferring these fees to the families. These and other required fees should be paid through the “pay online system.”

Creekside Library Volunteer Training

If you enjoy working with students and have time during the school day to come in and help, we would love to have you join us as a library volunteer this school year! The weekly volunteer shifts are one hour long. Swing by the library before or after Meet the Teacher (next Tuesday morning) to sign up as a library volunteer.

Volunteer Trainings - Required for all new volunteers - Will take place on Curriculum Night/s

** Volunteers must complete a new volunteer background clearance each school year and have it approved by the district before their first volunteer shift. Please visit: to complete the process. Tip: At the end of the application, it will ask you to scan your driver’s license. If you do not have a scanner, you can take a picture of your driver’s license with your phone and add it electronically to the system. Thank you for considering volunteering in the library. The students always enjoy having parent volunteers during their library time each week!

Highly Capable Referral Process

The Highly Capable Program Referral Window is Open September 1st through September 15th

Referrals of students to determine possible eligibility for the Highly Capable Program will be accepted online beginning September 1 through September 15.

*Please note, all kindergarten students will be screened this fall to determine eligibility for further testing for possible selection into the Highly Capable program.

Please go to the Highly Capable website for further information and to access the online referral questionnaire and referral form. Individuals making a referral must use the District provided online referral form. The following exceptions will apply:

  2. Referrals for second grade students will not be accepted as testing for these students will occur mid-year.
  3. Referrals for students new to the district who enroll after September 15 will be accepted for ten (10) school days from the enrollment date.
  4. Students new to the district enrolling after the Highly Capable fall testing window who meet the screening criteria will be assessed prior to the beginning of the next school year.
