From the PTSA

Thank you to our teachers, staff, volunteers, and community for a great start to the school year! We enjoyed seeing everyone at the Back to School Social and at Curriculum Night. We are hosting our first PTSA meeting of the year on Thursday, September 19th at 7pm in the library. This is a great opportunity for you to hear first hand what our PTSA is doing to support all students at Grand Ridge, and to have your voice heard. We hope to see you there!

Orange Ruler

Orange Ruler started this week and your student should have brought home information about this program in their folders earlier this week. Our goal is to raise $80,000 to pay for programs that impact every child at Grand Ridge. Funds raised through Orange Ruler allow teachers to receive stipends for supplies and field trips, along with funding our recess programs, musician & author visits, technology subscriptions, and the fun events, such as Falloween, the Science Fair, and the Spelling Bee to name a few. All donations, regardless of size, help our students. Get started today at www.orangeruler.com/signup. Donations are due by Wednesday, September 25th.

Art Docent

Would you like to help celebrate art with our students? Consider becoming an Art Docent! No experience is required and you do not need to be a skilled artist. Our Art Docent Directors plan the lessons, and you will receive training on them each month. Your role is to share in the joy of bringing art into the classroom. Visit our website, www.grandridgeptsa.org, for more information, or contact Angela Bizzari at grptsaartdocent@gmail.com.

Volunteer Background Check

Do you plan to volunteer in your child's classroom or join them on a field trip this year?

Issaquah School District requires volunteers submit an application and completion of a background check each year to ensure we are being safe. Submit your application today to be cleared for the 19-20 school year!

Visit https://issaquahvolunteers.hrmplus.net/ to submit your application. You'll know you're approved when you receive an email confirmation or login and see Approved to Volunteer through 6/18/2020 under Event.
