 What's the Latest?

Suzanne Selfors Is Visiting Grand Ridge!

Author, Suzanne Selfors, will be coming to Grand Ridge on Tuesday, March 19, 2019! Our amazing PTSA is funding her visit, which will include two assemblies here at Grand Ridge. Her assembly presentation is titled “How Does an Idea Become a Book.”  It is her hope that students get excited about writing their own stories. Families will have the opportunity to purchase her books online through Liberty Bay Books. She will autograph these books and bring them with her. The directions for ordering online is here on our PTSA website. Book orders are due by Monday, March 11, 2019.

Suzanne Selfors will have lunch with some lucky students. Students who complete an optional trivia contest about Suzanne will be entered into a drawing to have lunch with her during her visit. The trivia contest form is on the library website. The trivia form is due to the library no later than Monday, March 11, 2019.
Good luck!

You can find out more about Suzanne Selfors and her books by visiting her website.

Read Across America Week

February 25 - March 1, 2019

We enjoyed a fun week here at Grand Ridge celebrating a nation of diverse readers! Thank you to everyone who wore a shirt with words, played BINGO, dressed up as their favorite book character, read, and dressed up in the spirit of the Cat in the Hat!

Gift-a-Books

If your family ordered a Gift-a-Book this fall, your child should be bringing home their selection.

Students are coming to the library to select the book they'd like to donate.

King County Library Student Accounts!

So exciting! The King County Library and the Issaquah School District have begun a partnership to allow our students access to a variety of resources online. The students will learn more about these accounts this year. Each child has a student account. The username is the number 411 (our district number) followed by the child's 7-digit student ID. (If their student number begins with an 8, include a leading 0 before the 8). The password is the last 4 digits of the student ID. Students will have access to eBooks, databases and more.
