Issaquah High School Out of Lockdown

We had several parent calls and questions regarding the lockdown at IHS. Below is the latest news from the district regarding the incident. Fortunately, IVE did NOT need to go into lockdown or modified lockdown as a result of the activity at the high school. Please know that at school, staff and students regularly practice emergency lockdown and evacuation plans so that we are prepared in the event of an emergency. Please let us know if you have questions or concerns.

District News - Emergency Details

Issaquah High School is now out of lockdown having successfully responded to a potential threat reported by a staff member.

  • Students and staff are safe.
  • All other schools in the vicinity who were on modified lockdown have lifted those as well.
  • Issaquah High School Staff is cooperating with law enforcement and have identified students potentially involved.
  • We understand that lockdowns can be upsetting, additional counselors have been sent to the school if students need access to counseling services.
  • As always, if you or your student have information, please contact the IHS office or use the District’s Issaquah Tip line.
