Hello Issaquah Valley Families!

We hope you have all been enjoying your summer! The office staff is working hard to get everything ready to start another amazing school year. Today's E-News is a reminder of the upcoming EVP, which is critical for us in planning for the beginning of school year (details below). Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to welcoming new families and welcoming back familiar faces in the weeks to come.

Sincerely,
Michelle Pickard
Principal

EVP (Enrollment Verification Process): August 7 – 13
Please plan to complete EVP (Enrollment Verification Process) to confirm your child’s enrollment for the 2019-20 school year. This process is completed on-line via Family Access and is required for ALL new/returning students. District forms that are required annually are also provided for your completion through the EVP process. Families are strongly encouraged to complete EVP on a computer (rather than on a tablet or mobile device). A computer is available in the IVE Office for anyone who needs computer access or assistance completing the EVP. Please contact Wendee Fowler, Registrar, at fowlerw@issaquah.wednet.edu or (425) 837-6603 with questions or help with the Enrollment Verification Process.

News from the Nurse: Health Plans DUE August 19
Please have the completed forms and any medications or equipment brought to the school your child will be attending in the fall as soon as possible after August 8th and NO LATER THAN AUGUST 19TH.  Some time is needed to complete the nursing care plan and train/distribute to staff members who must be aware of your child’s health plan.

Children with life-threatening conditions such as severe bee sting allergies, severe food allergies, EpiPen prescriptions, severe asthma, diabetes, severe seizures or other serious illnesses, that may require medical services at school, are required to have a medication or a treatment order and a care plan in place before starting school.  A life-threatening condition is defined as a health condition that will put a child in danger of death during the school day if a medication or treatment order and nursing plan are not in place.

We want our school to be a safe and healthy place for your child to attend.  State Law mandates that we must be prepared to handle an emergency that could arise on the first day of school.  Thank you in advance for your help in this matter and adherence to this deadline.
