We will be visiting the wetlands at Lake Sammamish State Park on Friday, April 26th to learn about the wetland ecosystem, the plants and animals that live there and the effect that humans have on the ecosystem. We will depart from school at 9:25 am and return at 12:00 pm. Students and chaperones will need to dress for the weather! The park rangers put on this tour for free, and the Second grade team is using their PTA funds to pay for the buses, so the field trip is free! The only thing you need to do is fill out your student's permission slip that came home yesterday and return it to school ASAP.
We would like 4-5 parents per class to chaperone the trip. Chaperones can ride the bus or drive themselves and meet us at the park. You will need a Discovery pass to park, so if you do not have one, you can either carpool with someone who does, or pay to park.
If you are interested in being a chaperone please let me know as soon as possible! Thank you!
