New Procedure for Volunteers
New this year, all volunteers must complete an online application. If you have students at different schools in Issaquah, you only need to fill this out once and will be asked to mark which schools you want to volunteer at. Spirit Pajama Day - Earned by bringing in donations for the Food Drive
The Food Drive was a great success!! Thank you to everyone who participated and donated food and other items to the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank. With your generous donations, we collected over 1,300 pounds of food and other needed items!! That amazing number beat our last year record by 200 pounds and we did it in only two weeks! Thank you for supporting this great cause!
Conference Scheduler Open on Skyward through 9 a.m. December 1

Our very own Newcastle Lions Chorus will be giving their first performance of the school year at the annual Tree Lighting at The Landing in Renton: Saturday, November 18th at 5:30pm. The festivities begin at 4:00 with the excellent Briarwood Bear Chorus, with performances from other ISD south-end choirs all the way through the tree lighting at 6:00. There will be activities for the kiddos as well: a North Pole Train, reindeer, and face painting. The performance area is across the street from the movie theater. Hope to see you all there!

Highly Capable Program Screening for Kindergarten Students
Letters were sent home to the families of all kindergarten students who are enrolled in the Issaquah School District. These letters detail the process that will be used to identify Issaquah’s “most highly capable” kindergarteners. Student testing will begin on November 7 at 9 a.m. Students who are identified as “most highly capable” will be invited to enter the Primary Enrichment Program (PEP) later in the school year.
The letter has also been posted on the Issaquah School District/Highly Capable website.
The test that will be used as the screening tool (CogAT level 7 Screener) will be administered in kindergarten classrooms from November 7th – 9th . Make-ups will be the following week.
