Please plan ahead to have care for your children after the early dismissal tomorrow @ 1:40 pm. Sunny Hills staff also need to get home safely. Please know that you can choose safety over attending school tomorrow 2.8.19. If your child is not going to attend, please contact us at SHAttendance@issaquah.wednet.edu. Your child’s absence will considered excused.

TWO HOUR EARLY DISMISSAL for ISD Friday, February 8 – Buses on Snow Routes – No Out of District Transportation – PM Activities Cancelled for Grades K-8 - NO ECE/ECEAP 

Due to weather reports indicating a significant snow event beginning Friday afternoon, the ISD will close schools two hours early on Friday, February 8.

  • Schools will start at their regular time on Friday morning.
  • Buses on snow routes.
  • No out of district transportation for regular bus routes.
  • No AM or PM ECEAP or ECE.
  • No PM School Age Care.
  • School Aged Care in the AM only.
  • Transportation will drop students off after school approximately two hours earlier than usual at their snow route stops.
  • PM Activities for grades K-8 cancelled.
  • Information regarding High School Athletics and Activities to follow from your school.
  • Central Administration Building will close at 2:30 PM

Dismissal Times:
ELEMENTARY Schools dismissal time is:      1:40 PM (Grand Ridge 1:30)

MIDDLE Schools dismissal time is:                 12:35 PM (Issaquah Middle school 12:45)

HIGH Schools dismissal time is:                      12:55 PM (Issaquah High 12:52)

Student safety is our number one priority. We have made the decision today in order to give families ample time to work out childcare considerations for a two-hour early release tomorrow. As well, it gives the District time to implement the logistics involved in an early dismissal in a safe and orderly way.
