Quick Links for Parents:
It is hard to believe that June is here and we are wrapping up our year. This month we have assessed all of our 3rd, 4th and 5th graders via the Smarter Balanced Assessment (SBA) in both English Language Arts (ELA) and Math.
Our students used their growth mindset to persevere. They worked hard and we are proud of the progress they have made.
As a staff, we are meeting Wednesday to discuss the other data we have collected this year that supports our School Improvement Plan (SIP). The focus of our SIP has been on reading. I am very happy to announce that our students have shown strong growth.
With summer almost here, I know that many of you have travel plans. As a reminder, if you have travel plans that start before June 27th, we ask that you let us know. For only 1 or 2 days of travel, an email or phone call is all that is needed.
If your child is missing 3 or more school days, please complete the Pre-Arranged Absence Request form. Family trips will be marked as excused.
I look forward to seeing you at our PTA Summer Kick Off on Friday, June 14th. Our new principal, Mr. Baynes, will be there as well.

A leadership advisory team has formed to explore a replacement for Connect as the teacher website tool. As part of our selection process we would like to hear from parents about what they would like in a classroom web tool.
Our goals include finding a tool that:
• Meets communication needs for teacher to student and families
• Provides a consistent look and feel throughout the district
• Integrates with other online tools such as Office365, Classlink, Skyward and online textbooks
• Is accessible to persons with disabilities
• Includes translation tools for a variety of languages
