Grace Period for Last School Year’s Eligibility for Free/Reduced Lunch Ends October 16, 2018
Families in need of meal assistance must submit an application each school year. If you qualified for free or reduced priced meals in the previous school year, but have not submitted an application for the 2018-2019 school year, you must do so by October
16th in order for your benefits to continue uninterrupted.
If you have submitted a new application for this school year, no further action is needed.
Applications are processed as received; however, while you are awaiting approval, please send money or a lunch for your student until your qualification has been determined. Once approved, a letter will be sent to your primary family address.
Low income families may qualify for free or reduced price school lunches. The online English and Spanish application can be found here. If you prefer to fill out a paper application, one may be printed from
the District website under Family Resources/Free and Reduced Lunch Program. If you do not have access to a computer, a paper copy is available by contacting your school office.
DECA Goodwill Drive
DECA’s annual Goodwill Drive will be on Saturday, October 27th. There will be two semi-trucks from Goodwill parked in our bus loop from 10 A.M. to 1 P.M. and our mission is to fill them to the rim with clothes, books, toys, lamps, electronics,
blankets, art, supplies, dishes, small appliances; really anything smaller than a coffee table! So don’t throw anything away—Instead you can stockpile over the next few weeks and bring a wonderfully hefty load to the school on the 27th, where DECA
students will happily take them off your hands and help you unload.
In addition to supporting the community, Issaquah DECA receives $1,000 per truck that we fill. All of which goes towards our trip expenses at Area, State, and International DECA competition.
Just by amassing whatever discarded belongings you have at home for a few weeks and making a quick trip to the high school on Saturday the 27th, you’ll be make a huge difference for the community, the DECA club, and our students. Every bit helps!
Thank you for whatever you can contribute.

are used by schools, communities and state agencies to plan programs to support our youth and reduce their risks.
Participation in the survey is voluntary and the students’ answers are anonymous.
Please read the Parent and Student Notification Letter for more information about the Healthy Youth Survey. If you would prefer your student not participate in
