Winterfest Week- December 16th-20th

Next week is WinterFest, a week of spirit days and activities.  Each day next week an ASB Exec Board member will randomly select a staff member’s 7th period (6th period on Wednesday) class to check up on.  If that class has more than 50% of the students dressed in spirit wear, the class will receive a pizza party.  The spirit days are as follows:

Monday—“’Twas the Monday Before Break” is pajama day or the color blue.  After school Senior Class Council will be hosting “Sweets with Stevens” and decorating cookies in the commons.

Tuesday—“Winter Wonderland” is snow gear day or the color white.  After school Freshmen Class Council will be having gingerbread house decorating in the commons.

Wednesday—“New Year’s Eve” is dress to impress day or the color gold.  Before school Sophomore Class Council will be making holiday cards for families or local retirement homes in the commons.  Every card made gets a cookie.

Thursday—“Class Competition” Freshmen Blue, Sophomores Green, Juniors Red, Seniors White.  After school Junior Class Council will be doing karaoke in the commons.

Friday—“Ugly Sweater Day” or the color red.

We look forward to seeing everyone participating in these great activities and spirit days.  Break is almost here and we hope this will be a fun way to finish out the year!

Annual Community Report for the 2018-2019 School Year

The Issaquah School District invites the community to view our annual report online for the 2018-2019 school year. The report contains an interactive scorecard along with links to take a deeper dive into student performance data on state assessments. Because student achievement is also demonstrated through extra-curricular activities, the arts, community service, leadership, and citizenship, the report connects to our snapshots page celebrating these accomplishments. Information and links are also provided to learn about programs and services designed to assist students in accomplishing the ISD School Board’s Ends for Students. An overview of the District’s finances including revenues and expenditures is reported along with a comprehensive guide to understanding the 2018-2019 budget. For more information regarding the community report, please contact Executive Director of Communications, L. Michelle at michellel@issaquah.wednet.edu or 425-837-7004.

Important Note:

High School Online Learning Registration

Interested in taking a high school course online? ISD offers online learning courses to 7-12th grade students who attend ISD high schools and middle schools. We provide students with an opportunity to take high school level courses online. There are several reasons why online learning may be advantageous to a student: acceleration, credit deficiency, credit recovery, enrichment, grade improvement, graduation requirement, learning style and/or course is not offered at their school. Students have the option of participating in 1-2 semester long online learning course(s) during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Students who would like to complete a yearlong course will need to take the first and second semester of the course in separate terms (Fall/Spring, Spring/Summer, or Summer/Fall). Registration for the spring term opens on October 31, 2019 and closes on January 29, 2020. Please visit the online learning website to learn more about Online Learning for high school students!
