Draft Interpretation and Community Input of EL-16- Equity

The Superintendent has created a draft interpretation and invites the community to provide input into this interpretation. Once the Superintendent is satisfied with the interpretation, he and his team will begin to collect the evidence that must be brought forward for monitoring purposes. The ISD Board of Directors is scheduled to perform its first monitoring of EL-16 at the January 23, 2019 school board meeting.

The Draft Interpretation of EL-16 is available for review or download on our website at https://www.issaquah.wednet.edu/district/equity/el-16-equity

Again, we welcome and hope to hear your feedback and comments. Please provide input on the draft interpretation by emailing us at Equity@Issaquah.Wednet.edu

Be an Angel this Holiday Season! Holiday Gift Bag Drive

This holiday, the IHS Angel Program is pleased to provide gift bags to our Angel students. Our goal is to provide something fun to help the kids feel special, as well as including some necessities to help them get through the two-week break. The bags will include grocery gift cards, movie tickets, hats and socks as well as some other fun surprises. While some items are being donated by local companies, we need your help to fill in the rest. Please consider signing up to provide some holiday cheer for Angel students at Issaquah High School.  Sign up to donate.  Send donations to Lisa Hollingsworth, the attendance secretary,by Friday, December 7, 2018Learn more about our Angel program. Thank you for your generosity!

Donate to Lunch for the Break-Supporting Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank

School breaks should be exciting, but for some, no school means not enough food.  “Lunch for the Break” makes sure all ISD kids have enough to eat, even when school’s out.  You can help by donating a box (or two, or three) by registering HERE to donate these items, or donate a pre-made box.  If you would like to contribute, but neither option works, consider making a financial contribution to help purchase perishables.  Each box costs $45 to fill, pack, deliver. December 19th, 2018 - last day to donate.  Your donations directly impact families experiencing food insecurity in our community. Visit Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank for more information.
