Issaquah Families,

With today's school cancellation, we have a few more updates regarding how this impacts students and final exams.
  • New finals schedule attached
  • This Thursday (1/16), Friday (1/17) and Tuesday (1/21) will be normal 1st-7th period non-block schedule so teachers can have equal amounts of time to make adjustments to their lessons and help students prepare for finals.
  • 7th period final exams will be moved to Wednesday (1/22). So, Wednesday (1/22) students will take 5th, 6th and 7th period finals.
  • Thursday (1/23) and Friday (1/24) will remain half days with 3rd and 4th period finals on Thursday and 1st and 2nd period finals on Friday.
  • Teachers will not try to pack in the three days we missed, they will make adjustments to alleviate stress for students and prepare them for finals. Many teachers have already or will soon be updating their websites with the adjustments to students' workloads.
  • Some yearlong classes may even adjust by dividing up the final into two pieces and extending part of their finals to the following week or if there are project /presentation components they might extend the due dates.
  • The MLK activities that our CARE club put together for today are really great and we are looking forward to finding another Nest date in the near future for these activities. Stay tuned, we need to work with a guest speaker to finalize this date.
As for the days we've now added on to the school year in June, a June calendar with all of the unique schedules June brings (graduation, finals, 5k, yearbooks, etc.) will be sent out as soon as possible.

Thanks for your ongoing patience and understanding as we work with weather related changes.
