FIRE LANE TICKETING BEGINS TODAY
In December the IHS School Resource Officer, John Lindner, did a several week campaign handing out flyers notifying parents and students that they could not park in the fire lane. The Eastside Fire Chiefs and the Issaquah Police Department have determined
that parking in the fire lane has become a safety issue related to emergency vehicles being able to access the school. Beginning today, the Issaquah Police Department will be issuing tickets for violations of parking in the fire lane. The Issaquah Police Department
ticket fine for a first offense is $250. It is acceptable to be actively loading or unloading students in the parent drop off loop. Tickets will be issued to vehicles that are parked and not actively loading or unloading. For more information, the flyer that
the Issaquah Police Department provided during their campaign is attached to this email.
