Senior Surveys

This is the last part of your High School & Beyond Plan, and survey completion is required in order to be cleared for graduation. If you’ve earned any scholarships, please include them in your survey so we can post your scholarship in our graduation program. If you plan to attend college after high school, you will include the name of your school in the survey as well. Please be sure to meet the May 4th deadline, we cannot include any scholarship information submitted after the due date. There are two required surveys:

Graduation Adornment

Academic Cords

  • Honors students with a GPA of 3.5 of higher (unweighted, no rounding)
  • GPA is calculated from freshman year to first semester senior grades 
    • 3.5-3.749 gold cord
    • 3.75-3.899 silver stole
    • 3.9-4.0 gold stole
  • Seniors who qualify will be notified via email by early May. Items can be paid for (with check or credit card) and picked up in the Commons with your other graduation attire on May 24th. After this day, students can go to the Counseling Office to pay (with check only, payable to National Achiever) and pick up anytime through June 14th. Questions? Stop by the Counseling front desk.

Community Service Cord

  • Honors students who have been dedicated to community service
  • Documented 100 hours of community service through PTSA website
  • Must be submitted through PTSA website by deadline

Athletic Cord

  • To be eligible students must have earned a letter (JV or Varsity) in the same sport for two years and complete registration by May 1st. Students may only purchase one athletic cord, despite the number of sports they play.
    • How to Register
      • Complete this google form no later than May 1st
  • Students may purchase athletic cords in the commons with other graduation attire on May 24th. Students may pay with cash, check, or card. After this day, students may purchase cords with the ASB Bookkeeper through June 14th. Students who have not successfully registered by May 1st will not be able to purchase a cord. Please contact Ms. Connolly with any questions.

Club Cord

To be eligible students must have participated in the same eligible club for two years, earned a club letter for their participation in the club during the 2017-2018 school year, and complete registration by May 1st. Students may only purchase one club cord, regardless of the number of clubs they participate in.

  • How to Register
    1. Submit your club's letter application to your club advisor by April 20th
    2. Complete this google form no later than May 1st
  • What Clubs are Eligible: In December, all clubs and advisors were instructed to update their constitution and complete an application for their club that outlined the requirements for how to letter in that club. The following clubs are approved to earn a club cord:

School Extracurricular Medals

  • Students who have been awarded any medal representing Issaquah High School at the state level, may wear the medal at graduation. For example, DECA and sports medicine students who compete at state competitions, may wear the medal they earned.

**If a student has won multiple medals for the same extracurricular program they are limited to one medal per program.  For example a DECA student who has earned 3 medals at the State and National level DECA competitions over the course of their high school career may only wear one medal to represent their achievements in DECA.

 

  • ASB Stole
    • Honors students who enrolled in the 1st period ASB class their senior year and successfully met the requirements to receive this stole.
    • Same stole is awarded to students in the ASB class at Liberty and Skyline.

Graduation Ceremony Seating

Graduation Ceremony Seating Sign Ups will take place on Wednesday, April 25th from 8:00am-9:30am in the commons.  Students need to work with their friends to complete the Grad Form Sign Up prior to April 25th.  Your graduation seating group MUST submit the group's request form in person and reserve seating on the morning of April 25th.  

Seating for graduation is determined based on request process. The process is explained on the form above. You should be discussing your preferences with friends well ahead of the deadline. If you do not sign up then you will be placed in a row where there is space.

Senior Slideshow

The senior slideshow is created by the senior class council, and it will be shown in the theater at the end of the year. Each month, there is a theme, which you can send in pictures to issaquahseniors2018@gmail.com

Feel free to send pictures from previous months if you’ve missed a month!

You can send in as many pictures as you want, please keep in mind that we want to feature as many seniors possible in the slideshow.

Grad announcements and cap & gown order forms

Herff Jones will be collecting payments for cap and gown information, graduation announcements, and senior swag. All form of payments are accepted. All forms and information can be found in the graduation packet handed out at the senior class meeting. If you student was unable to attend this meeting, extra packets are found in the front office, councling center and in Mrs., Greene’s office in Room 2108. The deadline to turn in and pay for graduation announcements and cap and gowns is December 15th, 2017 before prices go up

Holiday Gift Wrapping

Issaquah Senior Class Council is holding gift wrapping station on December 16th, from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Bring in any gift and we’ll wrap it for $2.00. Wrapping paper, tape, ribbon and bows all included! Make sure to stop by! Proceeds go towards the senior class prom in the spring.

4/20/18 3rd Quarter Grades Due Varies

Third Quarter grades will be posted on Family Access on Friday, April 20th by 4pm. Be sure to check your grade details at this time and make sure you are on track, especially in classes needed to meet a graduation requirement. Consult directly with your teacher if there are any issues you need to resolve.

4/20/18 Club Letter Applications Due Various Club Advisors

Students must submit their Club Letter Application to their advisors by the end of the school day on Friday, April 20th.  In order to be eligible for a club cord at graduation, students must submit this form by the deadline.

Graduation Rehearsal and Senior Breakfast

Seniors must attend the Graduation Rehearsal on June 15th, at 11:30am in order to participate in the Graduation ceremony. PTSA will be serving a Senior breakfast at 10:30am, which is a fun event for seniors to celebrate the end of high school together! The breakfast will be in the commons. All seniors should plan to come early for a fun breakfast celebration before the required rehearsal at 11:30am.

Graduation

The gates will open at 4:00 pm for Issaquah High School families. The ceremony will begin at 5:00pm, with a processional of the graduates beginning at 4:45pm. Following the ceremony, families can meet their students to take pictures in the concourse. The concourse must be clear by 7:00pm in order to clear the stadium and complete a security check prior to the next school's graduation ceremony.
