Congratulations on becoming a senior! Although the end of your senior year seems far away, it is time to plan for your senior portraits. Summer is a terrific time to have your photos taken in natural light.
Senior photos and quotes will be due on November 5th, 2018 If you choose not to have a professional picture taken, then be sure to have an ASB photo taken the first week of school. While most major photography studios in the area already have these specifications, please have your photographer make a print that matches the following specifications:
Yearbook staff reserves the right to refuse an inappropriate photo
Student school photos will be used if the professional photo is not submitted or does not meet our standards as listed above. If a school photo is not available for your student we will use a place holder.
Please submit all portraits as .jpg or .tif files with the resolution at 300 dpi. to the following site:
Don’t forget to remind seniors to submit their quotes to email@example.com and remember to check the school website at least twice a month (especially running start students) for updates and senior information. Quotes are screened and may be excluded from the book if deemed inappropriate. Please refrain from any content that references drugs, alcohol, criminal activity, or inflammatory/ insensitive/ sexual language.
The Skyline Counseling department will be presenting information on the college admissions process to seniors the week of September 17th in their Senior English classes. Counselors will also present the same college admissions information for parents, Running Start students, and seniors who are not taking a Skyline English class this semester on the evening of Tuesday, September 25th at 6:00PM in the Lyceum Theater. Topics covered in both presentations will include: the college admission process, the college admissions timeline, how to obtain letters of recommendations from Skyline staff, testing (SAT/ACT), how to order Skyline transcripts, and much more. We look forward to seeing you there!
Our school year is off to a great start! Thank you for all of your help thus far. This year, Skyline will once again participate in the state-wide Healthy Youth Survey. This is a survey that is given to our 10th and 12th grade students every other year and is the eighth time the Issaquah School District has been involved in the state-wide data collection effort.. The goal is to gather data and track trends on a variety of issues dealing with student well-being. The survey will take place at school on October 10, 2018.
The Healthy Youth Survey is free, anonymous, and voluntary. The survey gives our school and state important information about our students and their concerns. It is designed to have a minimal impact on instruction. Students may refuse to answer any questions that they choose. If you would like to opt your student out of the entire survey, please email our Dean of Students, Patrick Gai (firstname.lastname@example.org) prior to September 25, 2018. If you decide to opt out, an alternate activity will be provided.
More information about the survey is available on the ISD’s Healthy Youth Survey webpage.
We are excited about this opportunity to gather information that will help us serve our students. Thank you for all your hard work and for your participation.
