Information for PSAT/NMSQT Testing Day on October 11th
Freshman will be participating in a variety of activities on campus.
Sophomores and Juniors will be taking the PSAT.
Seniors will come to school at 2:55-3:45pm for 1st period

Students will arrive for the regular Wednesday start time 10:10 a.m. The 9th grade class will be split into two groups in the morning. Both groups will complete all of the same activities throughout the day.
9th grade students with last names A-Malo will begin in their assigned classroom that will be posted at school the week leading up to PSAT day. During this time, students will work on their graduation required High School and Beyond Planning assignments in the Career Cruising Software.
9th grade students with last names Manley-Z will begin in the Spartan Gym where they will participate in activities around leadership and Growth mindset, as related to our school wide goal.
9th graders will have lunch @ 1:00 with their Link Crew Leaders and then meet with their Link Crew Leaders in the gym for activities after lunch.
Freshmen will wrap up their day by going to their 1st period class from 2:55-3:45 p.m. where students will have time to catch up with teachers and school work as needed.
Please encourage your students to check the rosters posted in the Commons, so they know which classroom to report to for the Career Cruising Activities. Students might also want to wear comfortable clothes today as they’ll be doing a variety of activities.

Room assignments will be posted in the Commons during the week before testing. Please encourage students to find their assigned classroom early in the week and arrive a bit early on the day of the PSAT to find their classroom.
Remind your student(s) to eat a hearty breakfast as they will not be able to eat (except snacks) until after the test which ends at 2:10 p.m.
If you still have not paid for the test, please use the online payment system at https://web.issaquah.wednet.edu/touchbase/ or pay directly to our ASB Bookkeeper – the test is $15. Test fee scholarships are available from the Issaquah Schools Foundation.

Students can also access Khan Academy for free, personalized, online SAT practice. It can be used to practice for the PSAT/NMSQT because of the close alignment of the tests: https://www.khanacademy.org/sat.
After PSAT testing, all students will have lunch, and then attend their 1st period class (2:55-3:45).
Students who are not testing but come to school during the testing hours will have a supervised study hall, room TBD.
We will have alternate activities on October 11th for all seniors that ride the school bus. They will have time to work on their Senior Exit Interviews, college applications or complete homework in a study hall.
Seniors may also spend their morning at home preparing for their Senior Exit Interview, college applications, homework assignments, or another school-related activity.
Senior’s regular 1st period class will begin at 2:55pm and end at the normal Wednesday time, 3:45 pm.
Students without a first period will report to an alternate location for a study hall
