SCHOOL REPRESENTATION MEASURE:
- Applications scored (Participant Application + Administrator Referral)
- Each school guaranteed a spot if they have a qualified applicant
- After the S.R.M., each remaining spot will to go to the highest scoring applicants...
- This means that even if every school has a qualified applicant will be at least 5 more spots open to elementary teachers (20 spots - 15 elementary schools) and at least 12 more spots for secondary teachers (20 spots - 8 secondary schools.)
We believe it is important for the technology and the training of ITP to reach as many students as possible. Consequently we are changing how we choose ITP participants this year.
In order to provide equitable access for teachers and students at all schools to the equipment and learning that ITP has to offer, we will choose applicants using a combination of application score and the School Representation Measure.
The School Representation Measure will identify the highest scoring, qualified applicant at each school. A qualified applicant will be someone who scores at least 15 of 25 points possible on the combined scores of the participants application form and the administrator referral. These applicants will be given a spot at ITP first.
The remaining spots will then be awarded to the highest scoring applicants.
