Reminder - School Policy on Deliveries to Students
If your student forgets their lunch or other important items including homework, parents may leave it at our Drop-Off Bookshelf in our office vestibule. Please label the item with your child’s name. If the item is valuable or anything you’re not comfortable
leaving on the bookshelf, please place it in the trustworthy hands of our office staff.
It is the student’s responsibility to check the bookshelf during non-classroom hours (before or after school, passing time, or lunch time).
To preserve valuable classroom time and minimize interruptions to instruction, the Main Office will not send notices to students, nor deliver items to them.
This is a valuable “teachable moment” in the area of responsibility – students coming to school prepared, as well as students taking the initiative to check for their forgotten item during appropriate times.
If your student’s after school transportation arrangements or activities have changed during the day, call the office as early as possible to inform us of the change and we will do our best to deliver the message to your student.

Volunteer at Beaver Lake
All volunteers must complete the
online registration and be approved each school year.
If you were approved to volunteer last year, you will need to sign into the system, go to your check-off list and make sure all information is updated and current, then submit for approval for this new school year. New volunteers will need to complete the
entire approval process before being able to volunteer.
Online volunteer registration applies to all parents and community members who are on campus before, during, or after school. High school students can get a volunteer form from our office.
Thank you, PTSA, for hosting a fun Trivia Night on Friday! It was a wonderful community event for students, families, and staff!

Middle School Online Learning Registration
Interested in taking a high school course online? ISD offers online learning courses to 7-12th grade students who attend ISD high schools and middle schools. We provide students with an opportunity to take high school level courses online. There are several
reasons why online learning may be advantageous to a student: acceleration, credit deficiency, credit recovery, enrichment, grade improvement, graduation requirement, learning style and/or course is not offered at their school. Students have the option
of participating in 1-2 semester long online learning course(s) during the fall, spring, and summer terms. Students who would like to complete a yearlong course will need to take the first and second semester of the course in separate terms (Fall/Spring or
Spring/Summer). Registration for the spring term opens on October 31, 2019 and closes on January 29, 2020. Please visit the
online learning website to learn more about Online Learning for middle school students!
The VOICE Mentor Program needs you!
Volunteers of Issaquah Changing Education (VOICE) is an in-school, volunteer mentoring program that pairs caring community members with Issaquah School District students. VOICE mentors work one-on-one with students throughout the school year. Some students
may need academic help; others may need emotional support or a friend and role model. All benefit from a positive, supportive relationship with an adult role model.
VOICE currently has 200+ students on the wait list. We need mentors! Can you help?
Here's what’s involved:
“I have come to learn that I only need to be a caring human being who enjoys spending time with kids. These are relationships that enrich my life as much or maybe more than my mentees’ lives”
~ Recent quote from a long-time VOICE Mentor with 3 mentees
