pull all the way forward before allowing your students to get out of the car. Do not stop your car at the front door of the school if there is space in front of you.

Student Arrival and Dismissal Times
Our doors open at 7:40 AM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and at 9:50 AM on Wednesdays.
Please do not drop off your student prior to these times. We do not have adult supervision available before these times so students will be waiting outside the building in the cold. If you or your student have a meeting with a staff
member that starts before these times, please meet that staff member at their wing door.
Only Music students should enter our music wing door for morning rehearsals and clubs.
All other students should arrive at 7:40 or 9:50 when our Commons doors open.
We dismiss at 2:35 PM on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays and at 3:30 PM on Wednesdays. Students should head home immediately after school is dismissed. Only students with a supervised afternoon activity (clubs, athletics, !MPACT, arranged teacher
meetings, etc.) should remain on campus after dismissal. The Activity Bus is available with limited stops for students participating in clubs and athletics.
A Note from our PBSES Coach – Nicole Perriella-Rehmke:
This week we taught our seventh lesson from our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum, Second Step. These lessons are taught during Bulldog Bonus Time and after each lesson we will provide a short summary and a family question to help you continue the
conversation at home. To learn more,
The National Geographic Geography Bee will be held this year in social studies classes the week of Dec. 9th to 13th. The winners of the classroom bees will take part in the BLMS final National Geographic Bee after school on

will take an online test to qualify for the Washington State National Geographic Bee, and the winner of that bee will represent the state of Washington in a nationally televised National Geographic Bee. This national bee is for middle school students in grades
6 through 8. Winners of the national bee win thousands of dollars in prizes.

School District News:
The Issaquah School District invites the community to view our annual report online for the 2018-2019
school year. The report contains an interactive scorecard along with links to take a deeper dive into student performance data on state assessments. Because student achievement is also demonstrated
through extra-curricular activities, the arts, community service, leadership, and citizenship, the report connects to our snapshots page celebrating these accomplishments. Information and links are
also provided to learn about programs and services designed to assist students in accomplishing the ISD
School Board’s Ends for Students. An overview of the District’s finances including revenues and expenditures is reported along with a comprehensive guide
to understanding the 2018-2019 budget. For more information regarding the community report, please contact Executive Director of Communications, L. Michelle at email@example.com or 425-837-7004.
The Issaquah School District is committed to providing access to all individuals visiting our district website, including persons with disabilities. If you cannot access content on
our website or this annual report because of a disability, please call L. Michelle at 425-837-7004 or email firstname.lastname@example.org and describe the nature of the accessibility needs and your contact
information. We will make every effort to provide the information requested in an accessible format and seek to correct any accessibility issues on our website.
Preparing for Winter Weather
Please take precautions for winter weather coming throughout the season. Please make sure your family and child care givers are signed up for
snow day closure and delay texts or emails from our Transportation Department through FlashAlert. (Only families with verified mobile numbers in Family Access will receive texts from the District.) The District and school
websites will post information by 6:30 a.m. Please take a moment to locate your Emergency Transportation Bulletin (ETB) that was mailed out in October or
access the ETB online. Also take a moment to use
