Enjoy your summer break! We will miss you all, but hope that you will have a chance to rest, relax, and recharge! We will continue to send E-News emails for important updates, but it will be on an as-needed basis, rather than weekly.
In case you need to stop in the office over the next few days, here are our office hours.

Trimester 3 Report Cards
Trimester 3 Report Cards will be available on Family Access on Friday, June 28, and can be found under the Report Card Tab on the home page. Please view or print off the report card by
July 5 as Family Access will close temporarily for summer maintenance. If your student is withdrawing from the Issaquah School District, please print off any reports you need from Family Access
before July 1 as your Family Access account will be disabled when your child is withdrawn.

We have updated our School Supply List for next year. It can be found on our
website, but if you prefer a pdf, please scroll to the bottom for the attachment. New this year - We have supplies by grade level, as well as an additional list by math course selection.
BLMS Spring Fling - Another Successful Partnership!

Spring Fling Organizer
An Important Change in Washington State Law Regarding Vaccinations
Effective July 28, 2019 no personal or philosophical exemptions from the Measles, Mumps, and Rubella (MMR) vaccination will be available to families. The law applies to all public and private schools and licensed child care facilities in Washington State.
If a student has had a personal or philosophical exemption in the past, we must now have documentation of MMR immunization from a health care provider or on or before the first day of school on September 4, 2019 as a condition of enrollment.
The new law does not affect religious or medical exemptions.
Two doses of MMR are required for all students in grades K-12. The two doses must be given at least 28 days apart. When your child has a first MMR vaccination, please let your school nurse know the date it occurred as well as the date the second dose is
administered. We are notifying families now to allow sufficient time to meet the new immunization requirement before the first day of school.

Ready for School Fair – August 12th

Family Access Unavailable
Family Access will be unavailable July 9th to the 15th for maintenance, after which only Test scores and Reports cards will be available to families in Family Access over the summer. The Family Access website is updated with the maintenance
Attention 8th Graders - Fall Skyline Sports
If you are wanting to register for a Fall sport at Skyline, please make sure you take a look at the Skyline website as it’s been updated with all of the registration information. Note that there is both an online portion
and an in person portion to complete the registration process. Football’s first practice day is August 21st. All other fall sports (including cheer and dance) have the first day of tryouts on Monday, August 26th. If you will be
missing any portion of tryouts, please email the appropriate coach. The online portion for registration
opens on August 1st and the in person registration is
open August 12th-August 23rd from 8:30am-12:30pm. On the first day of tryouts, students must have all of the appropriate paperwork (checked off by Skyline’s bookkeeper) with them to participate.
Summer Time = Sports Physical Time for 5th Graders Transitioning to BLMS
Will your student be participating in the sports programs offered at middle school? If so, mark your calendar and plan to get their sports physical during the summer. Students entering 6th and 9th grade are required to have a physical
dated after June 1. A physical, dated in the summer, is valid for the entire school year.
If you normally schedule your child’s physical around their birthday, we suggest you consider postponing until summer. Fifth grade students getting their physical while in the 5th grade will be required to get a second physical dated after June
1 if they want to participate in middle school sports. For more information on middle school sports and the required physical form, check out the
ISD Middle School Sports webpage or call the office. The office team will answer all of your questions. Only signed, original physicals will be accepted. If you would like
to keep an original for your records, please take two blank forms to the doctor's visit.
Fall Sports Season Online Registration will open on August 9th.
MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND PLAN TO COMPLETE THE ONLINE BACK TO SCHOOL CHECK IN (BTSCI) AUGUST 9-15, 2019
In August, every Issaquah School District family is required to go online and confirm their student’s enrollment for the upcoming school year. Plans change and people move over the summer. We cannot assume everyone will be returning. Watch for an email reminder
in August detailing the process and when the portal window will be open. Completion of this required, online only, process is essential for our building administrators to confirm and finalize course availability, staffing and student class schedules. ISD staff
will be available to provide assistance with accessing and completing the online verification process on Monday, August 12 at the following times and locations:
Interpreters and childcare will be available
On August 16, our office staff will begin the task of calling every family that has NOT completed the online BTSCI process because 100% participation is required. Your mindfulness of completing the process by August 15 deadline is greatly appreciated.
Bus Drivers Needed – We’re Hiring!
Schools all across the country are experiencing a shortage of school bus drivers. This is true in the Issaquah School District as well. The ISD offers paid training and a competitive wage of up to $25.38/hour. Drivers may work part time or up
to 40 hours. Full benefits include medical, dental, and vision. Drivers work a school calendar and schedule. If you or someone you know is interested, please call 425-837-6327 for more information or apply
