Season 3 (Winter 2) Coaches Still Needed

This is an update regarding Season 3 (Winter 2) intramurals.  At this time, a coach has not been found for intramural boys basketball or intramural girls soccer.  We will hold off a little longer in hopes that someone will step forward to coach.  A final decision whether or not we will be able to field these teams will be made by Friday, January 31st and we will communicate to families who have signed up by that date.  Students who have signed up for intramurals also have the option of trying out for the varsity and junior varsity teams.  If you know anyone who is interested in coaching, please contact Ms. Bosshart  More details about the position and the online application can be found at

Upcoming Schedule Change Alerts

On Friday, January 24, we will be on AM Assembly schedule. We will have our Diversity Assembly in the morning.

On Monday, January 27, we have a Teacher Work Day. There is no school for students.

Tukwila Elementary School is a sister school of Beaver Lake. Many of the students attending Tukwila Elementary do not have all the essential needs, such as food and clothes met.  ASB would like to make sure that families get some of what they need for winter this year by hosting a “Give Drive”.  We are looking for donations of hats, gloves and socks that will be given directly to Tukwila students, while blankets, jackets and other winter wear items will be given to the school to distribute based on their needs.

The GIVE DRIVE is our culminating project leading up to Kindness Week, which will celebrate the joy and importance of kindness, caring, and giving.  Starting January 29th, Beaver Lake students can bring in their grade level designated item to be placed in the box in their BBT.  The class with the most (by points) donations will win a Doughnut Party!!!!!

The more we donate, the more Tukwila Elementary students and families will get what they need!  Let’s show empathy and love by donating as much as we can, for kindness is the best policy! Have a great rest of your week and go Bulldogs!

A Note from our PBSES Coach – Nicole Perriella-Rehmke:

This week we taught our ninth lesson from our Social Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum, Second Step. These lessons are taught during Bulldog Bonus Time and after each lesson we will provide a short summary and a family question to help you continue the conversation at home. BLMS Festival of Cultures

Tuesday, March 31, 2020 (Please note date change)

6:30-8:30 PM

BLMS Commons

We wanted to let everyone know that we are going to postpone our Festival of Cultures because we would like a little more time to plan and promote and prepare. This winter storm has impacted our timeline a little bit.  Our ASB students voted and the new date will be March 31st. Thank you so much to everyone that already signed up to represent a culture or volunteered to perform! I will be reaching out to you Individually to make sure that you are aware of the new date and hopefully it still works for your family.  We are looking forward to celebrating our diversity and welcoming the entire community to Beaver Lake for our Festival of Cultures.

At the Festival of Cultures, we will “go around the world” and learn more about the culture, food, music and traditions of the countries representing the rich diversity of our school.  This free event is a partnership between the school, PTSA, ASB, and Beaver Lake families for the whole community to enjoy.

We need your support!

  • Host a Table: Would you like to be a part of this multicultural event by representing your country or culture?  It is a fantastic way to meet new faces while sharing your culture through food samples, crafts and displays.
  • Perform a Talent: Would you like to perform on stage at the Festival?  We are looking for performers such as dancers, martial artists, traditional musicians and more.

If you would like to represent your culture at the Festival and/or would like to perform, please sign up here.

Deadline to sign up is Friday, March 20, 2020.

For questions, please contact Stacy Cho:

If you have participated in a sport this school year, we have the original on file. Physicals should be dated on or after June 1, 2019.

Registration - Opened January 14
Similar to ISD high schools, registration for middle school sports will be completed online. The ISD Middle School Sports webpage contains a link to the Athletic Gateway Registration Portal to register for the current season of sports (located at the very bottom of the webpage). Athletic Gateway uses your Family Access login for Skyward. If you don't know your username or password, go to Family Access and click on "Forgot your Login/Password." You will receive an email with a link to reset your password from Family Access.  PLEASE NOTE: If you reset your password in Skyward, your new password will not work in Gateway until the next day.

Once a parent has completely finished the online process he/she should see a “congratulations” message that allows them to print a “confirmation” form.  This confirmation page is one of the three hard copy documents required to be submitted to the Beaver Lake Office.

The three required hard copy documents include:

  • Online Registration Confirmation Form (Part of the online sports registration process - print hard copy)
  • Emergency Authorization Form (Part of the online sports registration process - print hard copy)

The office can only accept forms for the current sports season.

Intramural sports will begin after the start of the season.

Payment for sports fees may be paid after notification of making a Varsity or JV team. Non-cut sports require paid sports fees to start practice.
