Half day

Friday Dec. 6th is early dismissal for students, they will leave school at 10:55am, for teacher grading. Please note that lunches will not be served this day. No after school activities or activity buses.

If you are planning to pick up your student early from school, please allow plenty of time. We are on an Assembly Schedule that day, with each grade going to the assembly at different times, so it may take some extra time to locate your student.

When someone other than a student’s parent or legal guardian is going to check out a student, write and sign a note that specifies the date and name of the person you’re allowing to sign your student out of Maywood. We will confirm the person’s identity matches the name you’ve provided at the time of check out.  Your student needs to bring the signed note to the main office in the morning before school.

Your student’s safety is our concern.

Emails and phone calls are not acceptable.

Emergency contacts are not legal guardians.

Anyone checking out a student must have a valid picture identification.

Internet Safety Assembly Schedule December 6th

On Friday December 6th, Maywood will be hosting its annual Internet/Online Safety presentation with Stefanie Hanley of the FBI. The presentation helps students to understand and increase their awareness of being safe while online. For example, Ms. Hanley covers topics on how to and how not to use social networking; texting; Instagram/Snapchat; putting private information online, etc. The presentations are delivered to each grade level with attention paid to age appropriateness.

Thank you for all the generosity Maywood families, community, and staff showed when collecting gifts for local families in need. The gift collection drive was a great success, and helped Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank toward their goals. The Maywood community donated an overflowing box of gifts and stocking stuffers to the Issaquah Food and Clothing Bank’s Holiday Gift Barn!  A special thank you to Nurse Nina O'Brien and Health Room Paraprofessional Phyllis Warren for helping with this gift drive!

The new trimester means a new opportunity to purchase Maywood Spirit Wear! Our ASB online store is now open for business! To check out our spirit wear options and place orders, please follow this link: The link works best using the Chrome internet browser.

We are excited to offer classic Maywood designs and new products (Maywood SOCKS!) to Maywood students, staff, and community members. The items for sale are perfect for “Charger Wednesdays” at Maywood!

The store is live until Monday, December 16th. Orders will be delivered to students in January. This is not a fundraiser and is not managed by PTSA.

Lost and Found

Is your child missing a coat or lunch box or other item?

Please have your student check the lost and found by the stage in the cafeteria for items they may have left around school. We have a lot of jackets, sweatshirts, lunch boxes, water bottles, umbrellas, etc.

Unclaimed items will be bagged up and donated to a local charity on Friday morning, December  20, 2019.
