Dear Cougar Ridge Families,
My name is Jamie Allott and I will be teaching 2nd grade through 5th grade, this year at Cougar Ridge Elementary.
P.E. is a time for students to learn and develop life long skills in health and fitness. Issaquah School District refers to "P.E." as; Health and Fitness, to better reflect our curriculum. We will be using 5 For Life and Spark as our curriculum guidelines.
Your student will be in a safe and positive environment where respect will be shown for the uniqueness of each students' background and ability. Equal opportunity will be given each student the chance to be successful, to learn the physical concepts of games and sports, to develop their skills, and to acquire the desire to "Play".
My main goal for the year is for the students to learn about "Play" and life long skills that will carry over to the playground and into neighborhoods. I hope you will encourage these activities at home and go outside with your children and explore our wonderful neighborhoods.
I would like to introduce Paola Arenas, who is teaching Kindergarten and 1st graders this year. We are so fortunate to have her. Please give her a Bobcat welcome when you see or meet her.
I look forward to working with your student(s) and making a positive impact on their mind and body.
