Ordering from Scholastic Book Club is an easy way to find the best books that are just right from your child's grade and interests.
Here is how: Choose books with your child from the paper flyers that come home monthly with your child or online at scholastic.com/bookclubs
To order online, connect to our class using our class code (RFRQ2) or look me up by our school name. As soon as your order is delivered to our classroom, I will send it home with your child.
Plus, every order you place earns FREE books for our class to share. Thank you for your support and happy reading!
The expectation for second grade is that students will participate in 20 minutes of homework per day, it is highly recommended that most of this is spent reading. This should include a mix of independent reading and your child reading to you.
Students will receive a weekly Reading Log to track their weekly reading. Your child will also receive weekly suggested activities to support them in their learning as a reader, writer, scientist, and mathematician (this will vary based on our classroom learning). Homework will be further discussed at Curriculum Night.
