A native Washingtonian, I was born and raised in Mt. Vernon, a small town about 60 miles north of Seattle. Other than my college years in Nebraska and a year of living and teaching in Indianapolis, IN, I've been in western Washington my entire life. This is my 22nd year of teaching. My experience runs the gamut from Basic Skills to Gifted and Talented, from 1st through 5th Grade, from single-grade to Multiage.

I have been at Creekside since it opened in 2010, and this is my ninth year teaching 5th Grade here. Prior to Creekside, I taught in Indianapolis (1 year), Federal Way School District (9 years), and at Newcastle Elementary here in the Issaquah School District (3 years). I live in Seattle.
