Hello Families,

I hope this email finds you well. The sunshine was a warm reprieve from this uncertain time. I hope you and your families are finding ways to stay busy – I’ve been enjoying playing board games and baking in my free time. Please see the many updates below on our first week using Online Emergency Learning Resources!

First, please understand that all of these resources are optional. These are activities that your student can complete to refresh their skills that we’ve learned so far this year. None of the activities are new, or distance, learning.

Since these resources are optional. These activities will not be graded or evaluated.

Additionally, I’ve attached an optional BINGO game to help motivate your student to complete work during this unstructured time. Some activities on the BINGO board will correspond with posted online activities, but many others are separate opportunities to stretch their brains.

Please use the links below to access these resources.

-Writing
-Reading
-Social Studies/Science
-Math
-Additional Enrichment

You can access these links each week via email or our class website. I will send you updated links of activities each week.

Some of the activities suggest students to use apps on Clever.  In case you need it, here is the link of digital resources and login information:

Clever Login:

Username: Student Username (first 4 of the last name, first 3 of the first name & 2 digit graduation year)
Password: Students first name (Capitalize the first letter)

Note: Our class’s graduation year is 2029.

Since our class has not used Seesaw yet, please do not have your child post items on Seesaw at this time. I will send out more information on Seesaw in the coming days.

Finally, if your child is interested in typing practice, Typing.com is a great resource!

Please let me know if you have any questions and if there is anything I can do to support you. I will be checking email regularly throughout each week. Take care and happy learning!

Best,

Karissa Bachman
