Be kind. Be safe. Be responsible.
A child's work is play. Please make sure that your child is getting time to play both indoors and outdoors before and/or after school.
Please also take some time to talk with your child about what they did each day in school. For example; what was hard about today, what was easy, what was fun, etc.
In addition to play and conversations about their school day, it is important that your child spends 20 minutes per night interacting with books. That can be you reading to them, them reading to you, and/or you both reading together. While reading with your child, take time to ask them questions about the story and the characters. Talking with children about what they are reading supports their reading comprehension and vocabulary development. For example; Who was the main character of the story? What happened in the beginning of the story? The middle of the story? The end of the story? What was your favorite part of the story? Etc.
Thank you! Your support in your child's education is instrumental and foundational in their enjoyment and success in school.

We LOVE celebrating student birthday in class! If you would like to bring treats or goodie bags or just come in on the day of your child's birthday we would LOVE to have you! If your child has a summer birthday, we will be celebrating their summer birthdays in the month of June, before school gets out for summer vacation.
Please note the following; We are lucky to have no allergies in the class. Our only dietary restrictions are NO beef, NO pork, and NO gelatin. Otherwise all treats are welcome!
Please come in at 3PM so we can use the last part of the day to celebrate!
