Aloha Eagles!

This week in math we were working on area and perimeter. On Monday we started designing a playground on graph paper. We also had a math test today.

In reading we finished the book AMELIA’S ROAD by Linda Jacobs Altman. It was about a girl who finds a place that she calls home. Now we are reading PEPPE THE LAMPLIGHTER by Elisa Bartone. We also finished our last reading response, and our new read out loud book is called The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.

In writing we are working on close reading four short stories. We are using those short stories for our literary essay. Today we are coming up with a thesis statement for our literary essay.

In spelling we are working on our May\last spelling packet.

We just finished our space science unit and we started our social studies unit. We are learning about different explorers, such as Lewis, Clark and Seamon, Juan Perez, James Cook, John Meares, George Vancouver, and Robert Grey.
