Tuesday- Our trivia question today was who is a scientist that studies motion (physicist). In math we worked on our 3 dimensional solids unit. We found different three dimensional shapes in the classroom. In social studies the James Cook group learned about James Cook while the rest worked on their Seaman’s Journal. In writing we started our final drafts on our literary essays is due this Friday. And Mr. Schenkman read out loud The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane.
Wednesday- our trivia question was how does heat travel from the sun? (radiation) Today we had our music rehearsal in the morning. Then, we had PE and then kinder buddies. When we got back to the classroom we worked on the final draft of our literary essay, we also worked on it after recess.
Thursday-in the morning our trivia question was how old do you have to be to be president. (35) We had math and we got a review packet. Then in social studies we learned about James Cook. Then we had IDR. After recess we worked on our literary essays. Then we had a review on a book called Coming to America a book about immigrants. Then Mr. Schenkman read aloud The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane. We also changed seats today, OUR LAST SEATS OF THE YEAR!
Friday- today our trivia question was what stage of rock other than igneous and sedimentary rock (metamorphic) in math we worked on our math packets. We then worked on our Seaman’s journal while the James Cook experts learned about James Cook. Then we had IDR before recess. After recess we worked on our literary essay. Then went to second recess. After recess we worked on anything that we owed.
