Important tips for parents: Vacations will not be approved during testing dates. Make up tests at Endeavour will take place between May 5th - June 5th. On testing dates, it is important to avoid scheduling appointments as students have an unlimited amount of time to complete the test. Students should arrive at school on time, well rested and well fed.
Please make note of the following SBA &WCAS testing dates:
5th Grade SBA & WCAS Testing = May 4, 11, 15, 20, 21
Homework Policy: No name papers go directly in the "No Name" file by the homework checker. They are then counted as late. *** IF you notice your child getting considerably frustrated/discouraged/angry/upset because homework is just taking more than 60 minutes, please have them stop, write me a note and let me know that it was time to stop. You child will not be penalized for that.

Weekly Updates in yellow Friday Folders are sent home with students every Friday. Weekly Updates include a homework tracker and provide areas for the teacher, student and/or parents to write notes. Parents and students, please sign the Weekly Update and turn it and the Friday Folder in to the turn in box every Monday.
I will be uploading a weekly tweet via Twitter and my Connect site to provide families information on what we have been up to during the week.
***Expect there to always be a Weekly Update and Friday Folder unless notified by me via email.

4/19/2020Dear Families, As most of you know, I am not updating my Connect site due to difficulties with the computer system I’m using. ALL important updates are sent to you via your home email that I have in our distribution list, as well as through Seesaw.
Please set aside time on Sunday / Monday to read through the weekly newsletter as ALL the information you need for the week will be laid out there for you. It is there for you and your children to allow for ample time to plan and set up a schedule for success as we continue to move forward with learning.
Every day there will be NEW Seesaw Must-Do Activities posted by 9:15 a.m. Any activity with “OPTIONAL” in the title IS optional, but activities that are not optional are recommended to be completed first.
Fridays will be a catch-up day: 1 Exit Ticket and Stop and Jot will be the only two required assignments on Fridays.
My hope was to create a system where more work was done OFF screens than on, but for time purposes, and for a more independent way of direct instruction, our lessons are online through Seesaw.
I will be reaching out to connect with you and your child for a family Zoom meeting where I can answer questions about Seesaw and online learning. We currently do not know when/how students will gain access to their items left at school, but we will let you know as soon as we find out. We also do not know how/what next fall will look like, but again, we will let you know as soon as we can. Even though we have been away from the building for over a month, there are still many unanswered questions for elementary schools as the district and state are working hard to make sure seniors graduate, align grading for high schools…and so on and so forth. Thank you for your flexibility, your patience, and collaboration as we are all trying to figure this out together.
Please continue to stay safe, do what is best for you and your family, and reach out if you have any questions.
My OFFICE HOURS through EMAIL will be on Tuesdays from 9:00 – 9:30 a.m. and Thursdays from 12:00 – 12:30 p.m. These office hours are meant for students/parents to ask quick questions and get a speedy response.
Can’t wait to see the amazing work students put forth this week as this is officially the start of Trimester 3!
