March 2020

Dear Parents,

Greetings from LAP/Reading Buddies! I hope you are all doing well during our quarantine.

Progress reports were mailed home last week. If you have questions, please email.

On the LAP Connect website your will find the Building Readers Newsletter which is updated monthly. It has fun ideas for reading activities at home.

Also, please check out all the reading websites that we recently added to our site. Maybe your child will like exploring them to see which ones they like and checking out library books from king county library.

If your child needs to practice sight words, they are located on this web page. It's a good idea to start with 5 words and when your child has mastered those, add 2-3 more.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, we’re here to help so please ask.

 Warmly,

 Sally Arthur: arthurs@issaquah.wednet.edu

 Meagan Rhodes: rhodesm@issaquah.wednet.edu

Kim Bair: Para Educator.

WHAT IS READING BUDDIES AND WHAT ARE THE PROGRAM EXPECTATIONS?

Reading Buddies provides supplemental support to selected students in grades kindergarten through fourth. Teachers provide research based strategies to small groups of students to increase reading skills. Students will meet in small groups 3 days per week.
